Hi! I'm Ray Davies, a Freelance Stage Manager specialising in Esports events. Based in Liverpool, UK. With a full UK drivers licence.Looking to grow my knowledge and experience with different styles and scale esports events.
Originally training in backstage management of Theatre productions to gain the broad training of departments that it takes to put on an event. Once my I picked my speciality of Stage Management I then merged my passion with my career to work within Gaming.

INSOMNIA I69- The UK's biggest gaming event.

August 24th -28th 2022)The UK's largest gaming event. With multiple stage's, with weekend long contents. Bring Your Own PC, and a expo hall: meet and greets, games testing and more.My role for this event (Aug 22) was Assistant Stage Manager for Insomnia's Main Stage. With assisting the Sound Department, with handheld and Lapel/ Britney Mics for Stage Guest.
With stage content starting from 10am Friday through through to late Sunday. With stage contents such as:-Panda's Embarrassment (Fri)
- With some familiar faces in the insomnia and Twitch world.-Community Cosplay (Fri/ Sat)
- With over 40 cosplay fianlists over the two days, going from small builds to large intricate builds with props, which involved stage turn overs for every other build.Ubisoft Cosplay (Sat)
-Help with the runnings of the Cosplay competition for Assassins Creed. Along side their own stage team.Wee Chat (Sat)
-A talk show hosted by Claire Lim, with two well know vice actors from popular video games.
Neil Newbon known from Resident Evil, Detriot : Become Human and many more.
Patricia Summersett known for voicing Princess Zelda in Breath of the Wild, motion capture for Assassins Creed and Rainbow Six Siege.-Dark Room. (Sat)-
Organising everything that comes with two Dark room performances. Running through the run down with Jon, cues and intricacy's of his show.
-Being standby within the crowd through the show, for clean ups of throw props, standby for handheld replacement along side his lapels. Clean up on and around stage for hazards to Jon and members of the audience.
Protection of audience from the hazards produced by the show, such as beans thrown into the centre isle.

A pop up esports showcase event, producing a series of Rocket League show matches, on a custom-built stage in the Westfield Atrium.
Broadcasting live around the venue as well as live streaming to Twitch.TV. With a live audience.My role as Stage Manager was pushed beyond previous experience, due to the nature of the location of the pop-up event. For the duration of the televised event, the stage was open to members of the public, for the LENOVO stands round the stage.
As well as normal duties, managing the general public, for the stage content integrity and for safety .
EPIC LAN- LAN Event
EPIC LAN- STAGE MANAGER(Oct 2019- Oct 2021) – Kettering, UK
Working as the Stage Manager for EPIC LAN for multiple events.
Keeping the stage and crew on schedule for live and broadcasted schedules. Operating and cueing the main stage segments and live segments. Operating Get In’s- Get Out’s, turn arounds with stage equipment and setting. Solving problems that come with live production and close contact engagement with audiences, and last minuet changes and corrections.
Working with talent, players, hosts and admins alike.
EPIC WAN - Online LAN event
EPIC LAN. (EPIC WAN)

Due to COVID 19, EPIC LAN had to create an online LAN to replace the canceled LAN events. Online Stage Manager duties included:
Making sure talent have working equipment, organizing them in a Discord ‘Green Room’ in time for mic/ cam feed checks,
Pulling talent in and out of relevant channels when live.
Solving online talent issues.
Supplying correct feed links/ information to relevant parties in time for live segments, such as RMTP feeds.
